Our Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, YAB Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak delivered the Budget 2018 on 27 October 2017 with the theme “Prospering An Inclusive Economy, Balancing Between Worldly and Hereafter, For The Wellbeing of Rakyat, Towards The TN50 Aspiration“ to continuously tackle the escalating costs of living and to gradually reduce the deficit towards achieving a near-balanced budget in 2020. This modestly expansionary budget is a positive step forward in view of the need to maintain fiscal discipline amid revenue challenges as well as global economic uncertainties.
